GOOD TO KNOW
Questions about this package.
What does the price include?
Supply and installation of 21 × AIKO Neostar 3P54 panels, 490 W, Sigenergy SigenStor: SigenStor EC 10.0 TP and 3 × SigenStor Bat 10.0 battery modules, the electrical compliance certificate, the grid connection application and GST. There are no per-item extras for a standard installation.
How do the federal rebates work?
We claim the federal solar rebate, about $2,769 (71 certificates) and the federal battery rebate, about $5,772 (148 certificates) for you and take it off at the point of sale, so the out-of-pocket figure is what you pay. The certificates are assigned to us and their value is confirmed on the day; the solar rebate steps down every 1 January, so it is set by the day your system is installed, not the day you sign up. The battery rebate counts the first 14 kWh of usable capacity in full, 60% of the next 14 kWh and 15% of the rest up to 50 kWh, which is why the first battery modules attract most of it and each one after that a little less.
What counts as a standard installation?
A single-storey home, a tin or tile roof and the battery within 5 metres of your switchboard. Anything different, such as a garage install with a smoke alarm and bollards, a longer cable run or a second storey, is priced at the free site check before you commit, never afterwards. The published charges for the most common differences are: two-storey roof $303; each extra roof face $182 each; klip-Lok or Trimdek roof $42 a panel; tilt frames on a flat roof $54 a panel. The full schedule of charges is on the website.
Can I add more later?
Yes. This system takes up to 6 battery modules, up to 97 panels on the inverter and an EV charger. Adding at the time of installation is cheapest, because the installer is already on site; use Make it yours to see the price of each choice now.
Will it keep the power on in a blackout?
It can. Choose backup under Make it yours and we wire your essential circuits so they keep running in a blackout. The price shown is an estimate; we confirm what your switchboard needs at the site check.
What warranties come with it?
AIKO Neostar 3P54: 25 years. These are the manufacturers' warranty periods for the products; ask us for the full terms. Our own installation work on the panels, inverter and battery carries a 10-year workmanship warranty from practical completion, set out in your installation agreement; an EV charger added to the package has its own 1-year workmanship warranty on the installation.
How do I pay?
Nothing until you have accepted a written quote after the free site check. Then a 10% deposit ($1,629 on today's figure) is payable, and the balance is due on installation completion. The federal rebates come off the price before you pay anything, so there is nothing to claim back afterwards.
BACKED BY US, NOT JUST THE MANUFACTURER
A 10-year workmanship warranty on solar and battery installations.
Manufacturers cover their products. We cover the installation. For 10 years from practical completion, a defect that comes from our workmanship in installing your solar panels, inverter or battery — the mounting, the cabling, the installation work — is put right by us: repaired, re-done, or the affected installation part replaced, at our cost and at our choice of remedy.
- It stays with the home. Sell up, and the new owner gets the remainder, on the same terms.
- Switchboard, EV charger and heat pump installation work carries its own 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of installation — that is the cover for an EV charger added to this package.
- It covers our work, not the products. A panel, inverter or battery fault is a manufacturer warranty matter, with its own period.
- What it does not cover: damage from misuse, changes or repairs by someone else, storms, surges and grid events, pests and corrosion, building movement, ordinary wear, and internet or monitoring problems. A call-out where no workmanship fault is found may be charged.
- Keep your rights. It adds to the Australian Consumer Law guarantees, never replaces them.
- To claim: email engineering@solar4life.com.au or call 1300 997 005 with your name, the installation address, what is wrong and photos. Tell us promptly; delay can affect a claim.
Residential installations. The full terms are in your installation agreement.
