Why we install it
Our take on Jinko Solar.
What they make: PV modules (Tiger Neo / Tiger Neo 3.0 TOPCon) for residential, C&I and utility; residential battery storage (SunTank hybrid); C&I and utility BESS (SunGiga liquid-cooled). No standalone string inverters sold in Australia.

The honest picture.
Where they stand
Value to upper-mid, and honestly positioned there. Evidence: ranked #1 panel manufacturer behind-the-meter in Australia for calendar 2025 by SunWiz using Clean Energy Regulator REC-registry data; 2nd in the 2026 SolarQuotes Installer's Choice Awards with 14% of 125 installer votes, behind AIKO on 28%; BloombergNEF Tier 1, joint-largest capacity at 120 GW/yr (Q3 2026).
The warranty, in practice
25-year product warranty on current Tiger Neo residential modules and 25–30 year performance warranty; note older Tiger Pro modules carried only 12 years, so the model matters. Labour is reimbursed on a fixed schedule, not at cost: SolarQuotes reports roughly $200 for the first panel and $15 for each additional module — nowhere near the real cost of scaffolding and a crew. Freight of replacement modules is covered; removal and reinstallation largely is not.
Who it suits
Cost-conscious Canberra and NSW households who want a large, stable, long-established brand with a real local entity, and who are spending their money on a good installer rather than a premium panel badge.
What to watch
The labour reimbursement schedule (~$200 first panel, $15 thereafter) is nominal — if you ever need a roof re-work you will be out of pocket, and you will be relying on Australian Consumer Law rather than the written warranty. Because Jinko is cheap and ubiquitous it is also the panel of choice for bottom-of-market retailers, so who installs it matters more than what is on the frame.
