Overview Launched in Nov 2024 under the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS), this rebate supports battery storage adoption to lower energy costs and reduce grid dependency.
Upfront Discount $1,600–$2,400 off a new battery system (based on usable capacity). Larger batteries receive higher rebates.
Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Incentive Additional $250–$400 for connecting to a VPP. Can be claimed twice (minimum 3-year gap between claims).
Eligibility Criteria

• Must be in NSW

• Property must have existing rooftop solar

• Battery capacity must be 2–28 kWh

• Installer must be accredited under PDRS
